Games are here!

RPGs + Swords!

Who cares about the fair*, anyway?

The games I was expecting for next friday (my former operational leader would bring them to me then) arrived today (he sent them with a friend who came to Mexico).

I will become a hermit now, I want to play them!

I started Final Fantasy II this weekend, trying to finish it before friday, but I guess I will have to play it only when I am not home (it is on my portable PlayStation).

I also played some Dragon Warrior VII and Final Fantasy X last night. I have played Dragon Warrior VII a lot, but still wanted to get a few more hours there (and get all monster classes on Gabo), and I am close to beating Final Fantasy X (I just sent Seymour). Final Fantasy XII was next on the list, but now it has been sent back.

I want to play Final Fantasy IX! I simply love everything I know about it (it is not much, I try not to spoil things for myself). Lots of guys here have made it clear they would prefer other Final Fantasies, but that only convinces me this is going to be great (focusing on what makes the game good, IMO, and not on movie clips).

I also got Final Fantasy VIII and Chrono Cross, both of which I saw when my brother played them. They will be played sometime in the future.

And I got Dragon Quest Swords, which I will play with Héctor's Wii. I hope he gets to like it, too. I will get more people into Dragon Quest, or else! Matt, you gotta like this game!

I am so excited, hadda try a bad performance of "I'm sick and gotta go home" for my project leader, who just smiled and said "I had to leave the games here, to make sure I had some rest", hahahahaha.

César.

* The "fair" being "La Feria de San Marcos 2008", a place where commoners go to get drunk.

Have you played Marvel Trading Card Game for the PSP?

I played Marvel Trading Card Game for the Nintendo DS, but I suck at it.

I kind of could beat a couple of tutorials, but I am stuck at the first real fight, against a gang... I am Green Goblin in that fight.

Ha-ha-ha! I'm on Hero Chapter 5 (or is it 6?) It's the Avengers Vs Kang. I've made up several different themed decks of my own. X-Men, Avengers, Marvel Knights, Fantastic Four, and Spider-Man.

Did you hear about the new Lego Indiana Jones and Lego Batman games?

I saw the Batman Lego on a mexican magazine. Don't remember seeing the Indiana Jones one, but I may have.

You started the heroes campaign, uh? Not cool. Villains is better, even if I can't beat the first fight.

The heroes/villains starter decks are boring, which is why I made my own.

I am not very good with the rules, and that is why I suck (T_T)...

Perhaps I should train more...

Did you import DQ Swords from japan, or is this translated? (aka was this the north american release?)

It's out in America now. I'm curious as to what people think of it.

Get it, you will have fun.

I just played the first mission, because I use my room-mate's Wii, but I did like it.

I played a little yesterday, and I loved it.

Swinging your sword at coming slimes is fun. And there are other monsters, too. Just the first mission has giant eyeballs, drackies, slimes, red slimes, bubble slimes, liliputs (arrow imps), mischievious moles and a rogue armor.

Each one may require a different strategy, and sometimes, they get all together in the same screen.

I have both. The japanese one had a reduced price on Play-Asia, but I will only be able to play it when we get a WiiLoader, or something like that.

The one I got yesterday is the USA one.
