<lj:music>Tom Hulce - Heaven's light (from Disney's The Hunchback of Notre Dame)</lj:music>

...
On Friday, my team and I went to Italianni's. I'd never eaten there, and I loved the food (if not the prices).

Watched La excepción y la regla. I liked it. I could almost hate Beto, because his (awful-person) character was so well done. I went to sleep before midnight. Could not even try to read anything.

But I woke up at 7 on Saturday... I could not sleep longer, even though I needed to.

We had our 10:00 Zirkuszelt rehearsal, then we watched the final works for the guys who participated in the workshop.

I asked David if I could invite Carlitos to come with us to Jaltiche the following day, and he said I could.

All ReTaZoS went to eat tacos to celebrate the closing of the workshop.

I was planning on taking a shower and arriving early to Tercera Llamada to work as staff for the Sexy Musical Show 2, but I fell asleep as soon as I got home and only woke up on time to arrive a mere hour before the show's start. It ended later than I expected, and after taking Mayela home (hers, not mine) I went to sleep after 3:00...

And I had rehearsal for the pastorela at work on Sunday at 9:30. I wanted to go to 8:00 mass, but I somehow managed to turn off my alarm without waking up, and I had to go to 9:00 mass. I arrived one hour late to work, LOL. But since others were late or didn't attend at all, I didn't miss anything. And got a promotion to co-protagonist (we hadn't rehearsed much, and we made good progress on Sunday, so I leaarned the part and got it).

Then I ate, took a shower (I hadn't that day) and went to David's (our meeting point before going to Jaltiche) at 15:00.

We left David's at 16:00 (late) but managed to arrive on time at Jaltiche. But the bad logistics at the place made us wait a long time before our performance. And the rain never left, so we performed under the rain.

It was a very interesting experience, and I liked it, but after this week-end I can barely walk now. I am not only sleepy, but really tired.

And I still have two rehearsals today (pastorela and Quasimodo, el amo de la noche).

And JCS!
Okay, as you may or may not remember, my throat was not in great shape for the Rock Band tournament yesterday. The two days when we rehearsed I had to use a very low pitch (which was kind of easy to achieve, since my throat made my voice sound that way).

To get a better voice (and less pain) I drank some honey in the morning, and then more honey right before our songs.

Well, it was on the second half of the third song that I noticed I either should not have done that or I should have adjusted my tactics for the songs we'd rehearsed.

On Black hole sun I realized I could not reach the lowest notes, no matter how much I tried to use my "deep" voice. Then I thought about using my regular, higher pitch and voilà, I could reach them all, high and low. Had I known the honey would temporarily "cure" me, I'd have used my regular voice from the start.

We got 4th place (out of 8).

There was some delay because we used a projector, so we got a very low mark compared to what we got during rehearsals, but the other teams were affected, as well, perhaps more than us. A well-synchronized system may have made other teams get more points than us, so it may have worked in our favor.

After the very long contest (22 songs, with some very long songs there) I made it to Tercera Llamada in time to watch La voz del viento.

Rafa informed me we would start work on JCS, so I went to yet another rehearsal (or pre-rehearsal workshop, since he's working with singers more than actors in this project, and he needs to prepare them).

Tonight I'll (hopefully) watch El café del rock. I've wanted to watch it for three Fridays already and have had to cancel.

Diego, Laura's friend, acts there. Even if I can't reach my usual range, I can use my current deeper pitch on the songs we selected (except perhaps Boston's). And I drank some delicious hunny + lemon.

What kind of worries me is the fact I have diarrhea, and I don't want any accidents to happen when our turn comes.

The other bands include some friends, like Diego and Wendy. I hope they make it far, and that our band beats theirs.

In other news, I have not had any free time to watch 9. I was thinking I could go tonight, but then I thought about La voz del viento, a play where Rodrigo and Gal act. I have seen it before, but not in Tercera Llamada, which is where they will perform tonight.

Anyway, 9 is not on show that late, so I think I will not be able to watch it at the movie theater...

But thanks to my consulting the movie schedules, I noticed Gamer is finally in Mexico (after a few months). I hope it's still on after tomorrow (the line up changes every Friday). I want to watch that movie, and not only because ultra-cute and ultra-good Logan Lerman acts on it (although that is one heck of a motivating factor).

In even some other news, I have been playing [Devil's Castle:] The Dracula X Chronicles for the PSP. It is actually pretty good. I am slowly gaining some skill (not to where my level was when I was a Ninja Gaiden playing kid, but enough to make it through the first three levels with increasing ease, for now).

I am still playing Dragon Quest IX everyday. Final Fantasy VII is on hiatus while I play other PSP games. Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 is on my second playthrough, now on pro-registration mode, but I have not played sine I started Castlevania (I need to be constant with that game so I don't lose my skill again).

I haven't read The Neverending Story in two days, but I'm like 7 or 6 chapters from the ending.

That's it for now. It would seem I'm the only one who hears her and can't sleep, because neither Héctor nor Erick do anything. She did not bark today (or I was so tired that I didn't listen).

My copy of the Secret Wars II Omnibus arrived yesterday, along with the Final Fantasy VII Strategy Guide (USA version, so the design sucks and there's no cool artwork). I do not know when I'll be able to read it, because I just started reading The Neverending Story last week. I think I'll leave that book to read during lunch and Secret Wars before going to sleep.

BTW, the other night I dreamed someone whose name starts with "O" and ends with "mar" kissed me in the lips. It was a sweet dream, LOL. A simple kiss, but it felt quite good. Of course, there's no chance something like that may happen (unless it's in a very uncomfortable theater exercise), so don't tell him anything, or he'll freak out.

Okay, back to work. But there was something wrong with him... He was... dark...

He broke his chains and fought me, but there was not much I could do...

He then went to the Land of God and somehow changed it to match his dark soul.

We went to battle him there, but when we thought we had won he summoned the Legendary Dragon of Darkness, Balboros, to fight us.

We could defeat Balboros, but this gave Elgios time to recharge. He was now wielding true demonic powers.

The day was saved by Latena, who appeared at the battle field to remind Elgios of the light inside him, and how the humans have light in their souls, as well.

With the battle over, the Goddess could return and restore everything.
